Traffic Analytics
How many came in. How many bought.
Footfall per entrance and hour, capture rate from the street, conversion against your transactions. Counted by a 3D sensor above the door, read in one dashboard across every store.
- 3D sensors, no video
- Counts per hour, live occupancy
- 2,000+ locations
- Live in 2 to 4 weeks
Trusted by leading European retailers
What you get
Six numbers every store manager should have by nine in the morning.
How it works
Counted on the sensor. Delivered as numbers.
- 01
A sensor above the entrance
A 3D stereo sensor counts people crossing a line and estimates group size, on the device.
- 02
Numbers, not images
The sensor sends counts, not video. Age and gender estimates are optional and reach the platform only as aggregates.
- 03
One platform
Counts land in the Pygmalios platform: dashboards, API, exports, and the daily AI briefing from In-store Analytics.
Privacy
Traffic counts are integers, in and out, with no identifier of a person. Optional demographic estimates run on the sensor and reach us only as aggregates. Every configuration is documented per site for GDPR review.
What it changes
Three decisions that stop being guesses.
Staffing to the real curve
Shift plans built on hourly footfall instead of last year's habit. Peaks move; the roster follows.
Marketing you can measure
A campaign week against the same week before it, in visits and capture rate, per store.
Landlord and tenant on one number
Shopping centres report footfall per unit; tenants see the traffic behind their rent.
Before you trust a number
Six questions retailers ask about people counters, answered.
- Can a disputed hour be explained afterwards?
- Yes, from minute-level counts, the outage log and the configuration history.
- Who enters the conversion rate?
- Buying units, with staff tagged out; raw and adjusted counts stay visible side by side.
- Is conversion a finished number, or an Excel job?
- A finished number: POS transactions pair with footfall automatically, and the first report arrives within days.
- Who notices a sensor outage?
- We do, within minutes; service starts before the store calls and the gap is estimated and marked.
- What does the price cover?
- Sensors, installation, software, service, API and users in one price, and the full history exports at no charge.
- Does the count stop at the door?
- No: Journey Analytics measures dwell, paths and cross-shopping on the same platform.
Goes with
The count at the door is where the rest starts.

Questions
What people ask before they buy counting.
How accurate is the people counting?
The 3D stereo sensors we install are specified by the manufacturer for counting accuracy of up to 99 percent. Counting lines are configured per entrance at installation, and group detection keeps a family from being counted as four buyers.
Does it record video?
No. The sensor counts on the device and sends counts to the platform. The only images it sends are background snapshots taken when nobody is in view, used to place the counting lines.
Can it tell staff from customers?
Traffic Analytics counts everyone who crosses the line. Separating staff is a Journey Analytics feature, where staff areas are marked so their movement stays out of customer metrics.
Do we need new hardware?
Traffic Analytics runs on Xovis 3D sensors. If you already have Xovis counters, we connect to them; otherwise we install one sensor per entrance.
How long until we see data?
Most deployments go live within 2 to 4 weeks, from site survey to dashboard.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Counts contain no personal data. Optional features that could, such as camera demographics or WiFi presence, are documented per site and switched on only with the customer's own data-protection assessment.
